This Phoenix "Teen Happening Newspaper" dated May 4, 1968
seems to show Linda in front of the same stone house that is also
visible on the back cover of her first solo LP, Hand Sown...Home
Grown.
Ed Caraeff shot those album photos. The image above also appears in
the
booklet for The Very Best Of Linda Ronstadt CD. Caraeff was
also the
photographer for the cover of Don't Cry Now. He also did cover
photography
for Dolly Parton, Frank Zappa, Tim Buckley and many other artists with
a
Linda connection...including The Byrds. However, he was not the photographer
who shot The Notorious Byrd Brothers cover at this same location.
The image below is the cover of the Radio Shack Linda Ronstadt LP,
For Country Lovers. It certainly was shot at the same time as
the
photo above, although there is no photo credit on this 1981 LP.

liner notes written by Pete Welding.)
The image below is the cover of The Southern Belle, originally
an import from
Holland, this LP was available in the US budget market through Sutton
Distribution.

plus the colored vinyl.)
The next two images are from the double Pair
LP, Rockfile. Capitol owns Pair,
but doesn't distribute it. Like all product by Capitol Special Markets,
distribution is handled
by budget companies who normally do not allow returns by stores and
sub-distributors.

released in 2006.)
