James and Alice Hopkins Stephens

James & Alice Stephens

Alice Hopkins was the eldest daughter of Barclay Hopkins and Mary Ann Dailey. She and her family went with her brothers and sister Emma to the Eldorado, Kansas field to work. When her brothers moved on to Eastern Kentucky, she and her family stayed in Kansas and then migrated to Oklahoma and Texas. She was close to her brother Charley when he lived in Iraan, Texas. She visited him there, and he was very close to her children and grandchildren.

I'm in contact with two of my cousins from this line. We've been exchanging information about these families, and much of what follows comes from them.
