The house was built across the late fifties, early sixties. It was the third of three houses built on two adjoining lots in a neighborhood dominated by post-war Best Homes. The three homes were a retirement project for an old man who was looking for something to keep him from annoying his wife.
Teresa's parents bought it when it was completed, and she lived here her first 12 years. After we had been married for about 6 years, we started renting it from her father. A few years later, when keeping the house up got to be more than he was willing to take on, he decided to give it to us - he had paid cash for it years before, and had earned more than it's current worth in rent over the years he had not lived in it.
I have been slowly fixing it up, and slowly expanding on the few flowers left of Teresa's mother's plantings, and intend eventually to have very little lawn and many shrubs and big flowers and small trees.
Here is an index of the picture pages - each may take a few moments to load because I have placed the pictures right on the page.
