Wall Garden

Traveling in a counterclockwise direction around the residence, one sees a concrete bench, backed by a garden wall. The wall forms the basis of another garden, also bordered by Virginia river rock. This garden contains a flowering quince, which has borne fruit, a crepe myrtle bush, flowering alium, (these are related to the garlic plant), daffodils, echinacea, asters, coreopsis, snap dragons, pinks and vinca.

Rhododendrum Garden

Continuing counterclockwise, and looking towards your right, one sees a long narrow garden with two large beautiful lilac rhododendrums at each end, also bordered by Virgina river rock. In the center of the garden is a butterfly bush. This garden also contains bearded iris, liatris, asters, snap dragons, see white snap dragon in front of butterfly bush, black-eyed susan and other annuals in season.
