Bruce and Jean's Teardrop Trailer (Under Construction)
10/18/04

Here's a couple of LED lights I'll be using. I got them at Super Bright Leds.  I made my own LED lights about a year ago using loose LEDs I had purchsed. These lamps are cheaper than what I was paying for the loose LEDs so prices have come down quite a lot. The fixture is an el cheapo that quit working and I never threw it away. Guess I'll use it.

Led Lights

This picture shows the strip light in action. I plan to install it in an El Cheapo fluorescent fixture after the insides have been gutted.

Here is the LED light I made from  a fluorescent light that I gutted and installed the LED light bar. The lights are on so you can see the 12 LEDs. I chose the lense because it gave much more diffuse light than just bare LEDs

Light Bar

I ordered the light bar with mounting clips. I glued the clips to the fixture with Gorrilla glue. I kept the switch but it won't be connected to anything, it just fills the hole in the case. The light will be switched at the door of the camper. The light bar can be broken apart  into four sections and connected with  jumper cables available  at the same place as the light bar.

You can just see the LED light bar in the upper left hand corner.
