Welcome

Good news! My second novel, Getting Lucky, will be published soon by iUniverse. It's a noir murder mystery set in Lowell, Massachusetts, and has plenty of humor to leaven its serious side. I hope it will be ready by the Christmas holidays, but January 2009 looks like the better bet.

When Pigs Fly

Even more good news—When Pigs Fly has earned the Reader's Choice designation based on its sales record. Over 400 copies have been sold so far.

When Pigs Fly is part crime caper and part love story, taking you on a raucous road trip to the Grand Canyon. This humorous novel is sure to make you laugh, if you can believe reviewers such as Midwest Book Review, Kirkus Discoveries, Reader Views, Kaye Trout's Book Reviews, or the numerous five-star reviews I made my friends post on Amazon. Of course, several of these friends are highly accomplished authors, such as Kathryn Mackel, David Daniel, and Leslie Meier. Read their work too!

When Pigs Fly has received the coveted (by me, anyway) Editor's Choice designation for meeting high editorial standards. According to iUniverse, they choose "only those titles that have the essential qualities of a professionally published book to be part of our Editor's Choice program."

El Paso Magazine published my article, Book Launches, Pigs Fly, in their March 2007 issue. It describes my experience in self-publishing my crime novel, with helpful insights for other writers. The SouthWest Sage, the journal of SouthWest Writers, published my article This Li'l Porker Goes to Market in their May 2007 issue.
