Converting a Word File to a Web Page

1. To use a file that you have already created in Microsoft Word (TM), open the file in Word.

2. Click File, then Save As Web Page.

3. Type in a your first name and last initial plus your class period number as a filename (example: betho1.html), then click the drop-down menu next to Save in: and choose 3 1/2 Floppy A: .

4. Close Word, and open Netscape (in the Novell-delivered Applications window).

5. Click Open, and choose your file in 3 1/2 Floppy A: .

6. Continue following directions in http://www.pwcs.edu/i-tech/tutorial/webpgtutorial.html .

7. When you are finished editing your page, save your final version on your floppy disk. Make sure your filename follows the format in #3, write your full name on the disk, and give it to your teacher.

Google Image Search http://www.google.com/ Click on the Images tab to look for pictures. Most inappropriate pics will be filtered out. You can also click on Advanced Image Search to look for specific file types, etc.

Microsoft® Design Gallery Live http://dgl.microsoft.com/ You must have a licensed Microsoft® Office product on your computer to use this site. If you use it at home, make sure your parents read the EULA License before you click Accept.

Yahooliganshttp://www.yahooligans.com Search for "dog pictures" or whatever kind of pictures you’re looking for. Since this is an index, you can find pictures this way.
