Site last updated on January 9th, 2008.
There have been a substantial amount of lathe discs added to the discography, new discographies for Crawlspace, IMD and Trinder as well as updates to existing discographies in the New Zealand Underground Archive, minor format changes and a batch of new links. Additionally, I have enlarged the images of my Popwatch articles on Xpressway and the New Zealand vanguard found under the New Zealand Underground Archive.
Welcome to the Lathe Cut Universe. An unaffiliated but sanctioned web site of King Records Worldwide (Peter King's record cutting operation) and home of The New Zealand Underground Music Archive.. Peter and I are in occasional contact regarding updating information for the site, but I am not the person to ask about the status of your lathe cut order, pricing on your order or any order related questions. I can confirm that Peter is permanently at the address listed in the contact information page and that pricing and shipping costs are current as of 2007.
I get a lot of requests to compute pricing and costs for people but due to my work schedule I cannot do this for those who request it, I'm sorry about that. All pricing information is at the link below for "King Records Contact and Ordering Information". If you have done a lathe disc with Peter King or know of one that is not reflected on the discography, please let me know. Understand, again, that I am not Peter King and I am not involved in the operation of King Worldwide, I am only in occasional contact with Peter King. To contact me about lathe records you have made for inclusion on the site, please click here
As always, Peter King does not have email, he is not inclined towards internet type things. The current phone/fax number along with his cell number can be found under the King Records Contact and Ordering Information link below.
I continue to find a general disinterest (or unawareness) in the site from most people doing lathe discs, so if you look through and don't see a title you're aware of, please let me know. Also, I've become increasingly poor, so if you deign to send me a copy of your lathe, I will put a link to your site to assist in your sales, if you're selling them, and I will include your site in future news emails. Email me with any additions at: by clicking here. I will periodically continue to update material from those who have told me about their lathe releases. Unfortunately, almost no one is telling me when they release a lathe disc.
I also record under the name of Clarinette. For information on Clarinette, click here .
