Cytyc Corporation, Marlborough, MA, was a $12,000,000 start-up to develop a more effective pap test.  Having succeeded, the company is now public with a market capitalization of $2.2 billion.

OneLiberty Ventures (formerly Morgan, Holland Ventures, currently Flagship Ventures), Cambridge, MA, was a young venture capital firm with $98,000,000 under management targeting seed stage high technology start-ups.  It’s now a well established firm of $615,000,000.

CB Health Ventures, Boston, MA, was a $76,000,000 start-up venture capital firm targeting opportunities in health care services and products that dramatically lower cost and/or significantly improve efficacy or outcomes.  It now has $150,000,000 under management.

Sitara Networks, Inc., Waltham, MA, was a $250,000 start-up to develop data communications products for the Internet.  To date, the company has had follow-on financings totaling approximately $75,000,000.

Background Summary

Ms. Kochmann has been an integral part of the finance community in the Boston area for almost twenty-five consecutive years.  As a result she has a complete understanding of all aspects of the profession.  She is a goal-oriented individual who can be counted upon to get the job done properly.  She is a team player who successfully coordinates diverse people.

She founded her private practice in 1989.

She was the Controller of CardioData Corporation in Northboro, MA from 1985 to 1989.   They were the pioneer and premier manufacturer of Holter monitoring systems.

She was the first Controller and Director of Finance of Lotus Development Corporation in Cambridge, MA from 1982 to 1985.  They have been an industry leader and one of the most successful software firms in history.  They were acquired by IBM in 1995.

Other employers included Ionics, Inc., in Watertown, MA, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, and the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, CA.

She received her MBA in Computers and Information Systems with honors from Northeastern University in 1982, and her BS in Health Sciences from Boston University in 1974.

From 1997 to the present she has been active on the Board of Directors of METCO, Incorporated of Boston (the Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity) and their Treasurer since 2000.

From 1991-93 she was the Treasurer of the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge, serving on their Executive Board and as Chair of the Finance Committee.
