*NEW* Sleepy Kitty Home Page
I'm determined, if I'm gonna do this at all, I'm gonna try to do it right.
Free Blogger doesn't support alot of the things I'd like to do, so I made a quick home page. It's kinda lame and not much to it right now, but at least I'll be able to add graphics and pictures and music and whatnots. So, welcome to The Litterbox.

I'm heading north for a few days to clear brush and drink tequila with my brothers in a hurricane.
Are you jealous? You should be. I'll work more on everything when I get back next week. Drop me an email and tell me how much you miss me already.

I know I promised not to get political right away, but this was a good email I got today from Massachusetts State Rep. James McGovern in response to an email I sent him last week calling for the impeachment of BushCo.
It gets too specific to be a regular form letter like I get from Kennedy and Kerry (When they respond at all.)
Last October he sent me a good one too. Responding to my email against the pending vote in Congress to let Bush go to war. He agreed with me then, too.
Huh, a politician who actually says something when he talks. Who'da thunk it?
I like this guy.
PS. Go Howard Dean!

Dear Linda:

Thank you for contacting me and sharing with me your
concerns regarding the continuing U.S. involvement in Iraq. I very much
appreciate hearing your views on this critical foreign policy and national
defense issue.

I have long had concerns about the war in Iraq. Nearly a year ago, I
began asking high-ranking officials of the Bush Administration about their
concrete plans for the aftermath of a military victory and the
reconstruction of Iraq. I also felt that it was a mistake for the United
States to act in the absence of United Nations support, as such a decision
might very well leave the U.S. alone to carry out and shoulder the expense
of rebuilding Iraq and attempting to establish democracy in this failed
state. I felt such a course would place our uniformed men and women in
grave peril, and our military and financial resources would be stretched
beyond their limits.

I regret that my fears have been confirmed, and I believe strongly that
while we cannot and must not abandon the Iraqi people, the Congress must
use the opportunity of the President's request for $87 billion in
additional supplemental funds for fiscal year 2003 mainly for Iraq to
finally ask the hard questions and demand concrete answers from the
Administration about our course in Iraq and the long-term costs in money,
personnel and other resources.

I also remain deeply disturbed by mounting evidence that U.S.
intelligence was deliberately manipulated by some Administration officials
to present the illusion of an imminent threat by Iraq when there was
little genuine evidence to support such an assertion. I am the cosponsor
of two bills calling for independent inquiries into this matter, H.R. 307
and H.R. 2625, and I hope the Congress will act on these measures before
adjourning later this year.

On September 9, 2003, I spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of
Representatives about these serious matters, and I enclose a copy of those
remarks for your review.

Sincerely,

James P. McGovern

Ok, Next thing I wanted to talk about is the iPod in my head. Like this guy.
What I have is, instead of an internal clock, I have an internal clock radio. When I wake up in the morning I have what I like to call "The Stupid Song of the Day" Inserted into my brain by my subconcious just before I wake up. (My subconcious likes to fuck with me frequently.)
The "SSD" causes me to turn on my radio or CD player immediately upon rising and turn it up so as to get rid of the "SSD".
Since I have a blog now I may occasionally subject YOU to The Stupid Song of the Day.
Today, it's Cheap Tricks "Surrender" ....Mommys all right, Daddys all right. They just get a little weeeiirrdd..... Enjoy! (and good luck getting rid of it.)
Jeez, adding all the bells and whistles to this thing is tricky. Guess I'll just leave it this way for now.

So. Here we are. This is what we're gonna do with this thing for now, subject of course, to the mood swings of the Maniagement.

We want a happy, silly, clever, witty blog whenever possible.
We shall steer clear of politics unless the Maniagement feels the ethereal 'you' need to hear a good rant.
In the meantime I've added a link to Smirking Chimp which is your civic duty to read faithfully.

I've also added a link to The Onion which is your psychiatric duty to read faithfully.

And I had to add a link to bmoeasy 'cause Brians a chucklehead! And he talked me into this, so if it sucks... click that link!

Stay tuned...

There! Happy now? And as predicted I have nothing to say... at the moment.
