CORVN is a coalition of Washington State citizens working together to restore peace and safety to neighborhoods and wild areas which are disturbed by ORV (Off-Road Vehicle) use. NEWS: Hurrah! The improved Thurston County noise ordinance passed on 6 June 2005! Show this to the Sheriff's Deputies when you call them out to enforce it. Here are the differences from the old ordinance. CORVN serves as a support group and resource center for citizens concerned about ORV nuisances. Nuisances include:
- excessive noise
- dust and emissions
- damage to lands
- danger to wilderness users
- eyesores and reduced property values
- tensions between neighbors.
CORVN's goals include:
- more peaceful neighborhoods and natural areas
- safer neighborhoods and natural areas
- better enforcement and better laws against ORV nuisances
- support for ORV use where they will not disturb people, wildlife, land, or water.
