Ford Genealogy Club November 8, 2001 Meeting
The Ford Genealogy Club met in their new location (Ford Training and Development Center Room 220). The meeting was called to order by the president, Karen Krugman, at 5:40 PM. There were several potential new members who attended the beginner's session at 5:00 PM prior to the business meeting.
New Business:
- Entertainment Books are available as a FERA fundraiser, the Big Book is $30 and the Gold card book is $10. Contact Mark Krugman for Books.
- Diane Oslund is in need of queries for the next issue of the newsletter- there is no charge to members.
- The latest copy of the CD lending library list was distributed. There are new CDs on the list, so check to see if they apply to your research.
- Dues are payable to Chuck Oslund. Dues are $12 per family.
- There was a question regarding the availability of Ford Employment records. To access the records of a living person you must have their permission; for records of a dead person, a court order is required.
Reports:
- There was no treasurer's report.
- There was no VP report.
- The minutes from the previous meeting were sent to the membership and are on the home page.
Program:
There was a general discussion regarding requests to the Club for research assistance. A woman had written from England inquiring about research. There was no final decision regarding future inquiries, but Mary Ann Wheeler will contact this woman regarding her specific request.
