Defoe, Daniel. Robinsono Kruso. Size: 1 megabyte. Esperanto translation by A. Krafft (1908) of the classic, Robinson Crusoe. Someone more knowledgable than we are has told us that this translation is too ‘English-like’ and therefore is not recommended for people new to Esperanto. Don’t say we didn’t warn you. Incidentally, the reason the e-book takes up a whole megabyte is that we employed software that uses several fonts, with characters of slightly different widths, to optimize justification and line-breaking. We like the result, even if the translation is not the best and the e-book takes up a whole megabyte. |
