1984 Honda CR-500R
I bought this bike used in about 1986 and used it mostly for trail ridding. I rode it alot over at the trails and coal piles near Cle Elum. Those were fun days, it was a great place to ride and attracted thousands of riders, then somebody got hurt, sued the railroad that owned the land, and the lawyers shut it all down. Yeah, lawyers! I wish the kid had died. No, that's not true, I wish his lawyers had died. Actually, I wish ALL the lawyers had died...and the politicians.
I was recovering from three years of Bone Cancer at this time, which I had contracted in my senior year of college. I sold the bike in 1988 when I went back to CWU to finish my degree.
It was a good reliable, powerful bike, especially for the uses I put it to, namely trail riding and gravel pit jumping.
