1979 RM-250N
I got the parts for this bike sort of as a bonus to all the parts I was buying for the '78.5 'C2. I'd get a lot of RM parts and they would have different years mixed in. I then scored a frame and swing arm from a fellow who wanted $25 for the swing arm and I talked him into throwing in the "rusty old frame". It wasn't that bad. I bought the motor from Kevin Tackett at Finishline Motorsports in California. Great guys. Highly Recommended. After rebuilding it and dropping the parts together I went from this to this:

I haven't quite gotten it to the point where I am ready to try and start it. I finally got a carburator, and this last month I had to find a new coil for it. I still need some rear brakes and a chain, but it is getting closer. Right now the front end is off while I rebuild the forks.
OK, so I finally got the 43mm clamps & forks on...Not too much left to do before I start her. I want to see how she rips on the track before I tear it apart again and refinish everything. I need to determine its potential in order to prioritize against my other projects (namely the '81 YZ-250H)
