Advanced Silversmithing

In the advanced class most students have mastered soldering techniques. We learn bezel setting faceted stones, making prong settings, hinges, silver crochet, weaving of silver, simple link chains, and with time permitting, rivets or other techniques.

As in the other classes, I limit each class to 6 people, as I want to provide as much individual attention as I can. Snacks, coffee, and tea are provided. I include stones and silver in the cost of the class, and I have premium stones for an additional cost if you would like something extra special. I have all the tools you will need, so all you need to bring is yourself!

The advanced class lasts for 5 weeks, and we meet once a week for 4 hours. Generally I schedule the classes from 6-10 pm, and I try to adjust the evening based on new students' schedules, as I know how busy you all are. I have done classes from 5-9 pm as well, and could do this if this works best for a particular group.

The fee for the advanced class is $200.00 plus a $25 materials fee. Unfortunately, because of a series of no-shows, I have had to institute a policy of requiring a non-refundable deposit of $50 to reserve your spot. When you contact me, I will provide my mailing address so you can send me a check.

My shop is in the Loveland/Fort Collins area, and I have new classes starting every 5 weeks. If you are interested, please email me at:
