What is a community theatre?
A theatre that is reasonably priced and pays the actors and/or crew little, if anything. It also includes high schools and colleges.
Is it really limited to the Bay Area Community Theatres?
No, although that is the main purpose of the mailing list. The main thing, though, is that any discussion pertain strictly to non-professional theatres.
So what kind of stuff do you want to see here?
Stuff like auditions, crew calls, tips on lighting design, duct tape usage, etc.
Who is David?
David Ross, the list maintainer, is a stage manager at the
Chanticleers Theatre. He has also volunteered for many years at the Hayward Little Theatre as a techie, the part time house manager, and in the box office. He is a true techie, prefering to be "in the dark" rather than on stage. He also enjoys ushering at other theatres.
