General Information

Best Practice Tours is an organization of distribution and manufacturing executives and managers who want to see and learn how the same operations are accomplished in other companies. We will typically plan a tour every month and send invitations via email to the Best Practice Tours group. Our tours have been very well received by attendees and sponsors. Past tours have included Panasonic Distribution Center, Kenworth Truck Manufacturing Plant, Boeing Spares Distribution, Starbucks Roasting Facility, Nintendo, FedEx, Flow, Cutter and Buck, Univar, Port of Seattle, Paccar Parts, Dynacraft, and Ball Corporation

These events are typically 1.5 to 2 hours long and include a "big picture" overview of the company's mission and goals, a walk-through tour of the operations, refreshments, and a brief survey. During the survey the attendees are asked to write down any ideas or suggestions for improving the operations they toured. These events provide opportunities for networking and improving operations for the sponsors and the attendees.
