Andrew McNevich

Andrew McNevich worked for the New York Central Railroad as Yardmaster of Transportation. His career began in 1906. 1882. His employment was first located in Ashtabula, Ohio, followed by Englewood, Chicago, Illinois.  His birth date was corrected to  1883.  He used his Insurance Policy from the Knights of Columbus Organization .  He needed to submit this proof when he retired. He could have used his marriage certificate for proof but it would of conflicted with his record from the railroad because he listed his birthplace as Pittsburgh, PA. 

Andrew ran away from home and was never seen by his family again. He was the youngest in the family, his siblings being much older: John, Peter, Bernard, and a sister. His brother Peter was married to Anna Michalska. He was also from Shenandoah, Pennsylvania.

There was a Peter Michniewicz in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1885, according to census information. In 1890, he married Anna Michalska. My grandmother had told me that Andrew's brother Peter had marred a woman with the same last name as her mother, Michalska.  Peter and Anna  had 2 children: Mary, who married a John Presnowski, and Peter Michniewicz.  Anna died in 1902. Peter married Apolonia and they had three children: Beatrice, John, and Frank, according to the 1910 census. They were living at 301 W. Centre St. Peter died on August 1,1913 from an ear infection. He was 46 years old. His death certificate lists his birthplace as Russia, and his parents as John Michniewicz and Theopholae Kaetien. Peter was a saloon keeper and owned stock in Citizens' National Bank of Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. His grandson Raymond currently resides in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. Today, I do believe this shows Peter and Andrew were brothers. I

He married Marie (Marianne Katherine) Waloch in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His marriage license lists his name as Andrew John Michniewicz,  from Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. His parents names were John and Theopholae Michniewicz.
