Broken deals, interstate and international art theft:
Septemberl 2008
Stolen paintings, the saga continues
:
Here is my understanding of the affair:
Ingrid Cooper of Richmond, MD is pretending to be a gallery by renting rooms from a reputable gallery,
she is doing business under an LLC umbrella that no longer exists.
She did not pay for the paintings which she presumably sold;
after more or less of a year of lies and broken promises she finally returned the paintings she hadn't sold*.
*Note: Three of the paintings were actually returned on April 13, 2008;
two weeks after the FBI had been notified, see pictures below.
After yet another intervention, this time by way of the Austrian Consulate
one more painting, the Dahlia (oil on canvas) 80x100 cm; was returned on Sep. 3, 2008 to the artist.
As of September 2008 three works remain in dispute:
The following three paintings have been sold but haven't been paid for:

1.) Pink Rose (oil on canvas) 60x50 cm (850.-€)

3) Heart of the water lilly (oil on Canvas) 80x100 cm; ( 2300.-€)

4.) Yellow Rose 60x40 cm (810.-€);
(Note: not an exact picture, but resonably close)
Note 1): The next three paintings have been returned on April 13, 2008 after the FBI had been notified.
Note 2): The Dahlia below was finally returned on Sep. 3, 2008
