Subj: NEW CHIEF DIRECTOR WEB SITE -024/07


1.  During the past few months, close coordination between Auxiliarist Wayne
Spivak (aka - CHDIRAUX web master), the Coast Guard Operations System Center
(OSC) in Martinsburg, WV, and the Office of the Chief Director has resulted
in the establishment of a new Chief Director web site.  The new site
projects a new image consistent with the Coast Guard's public web site along
with improved information security and sustained functionality.    

2.  This new web site can be found at: http://www.uscg.mil/hq/cg3/cg3pcx
It will run in parallel with the "old" web site
(http://www.cgaux.info/g_ocx/) for the next 30 days.  During this time, the
old web site will remain accessible, but will only be updated with ALAUX and
ALCOAST messages.  At the end of the 30 day period, the old web site will be
terminated and the new web site will stand alone.

3.   The Chief Director web site will remain flexible to best meet the needs
of those concerned with the Auxiliary program.  Your comments and
suggestions through the web site's "Contact Us" function are most welcomed.
The Office of Auxiliary extends it utmost respect and gratitude to the many
Auxiliarists who helped create, establish, and maintain the diverse portions
of its web sites over the years, and looks forward to continued cooperative
efforts to serve the Coast Guard Auxiliary.  We are equally grateful to OSC
Martinsburg for its guidance and assistance in the launch and
institutionalization of this new site.

4.     The purpose of this list is to keep Auxiliarists as well as all other
interested parties abreast of current developments, policies, manuals, etc.
All information contained herein and linked is OFFICIAL policy and
information.
