Subj: OPERATIONAL DRESS UNIFORM (ODU) SALE -012/08

1. To pave the way for the untucked version of the Coast Guard Operational
Dress Uniform (ODU), the Coast Guard Uniform Distribution Center (UDC) in
Woodbine, NJ is offering certain sizes of the current tucked ODU at
two-for-the-price-of-one. Inventory levels of these certain sizes must be
liquidated to make it possible to stock the untucked ODU once development
and manufacturing are complete.

2. The current tucked ODU is expected to be authorized for Coast Guard
military personnel through 2010. It will be authorized for Coast Guard
Auxiliary wear until no longer serviceable. The untucked ODU is not expected
to be available for Auxiliary purchase until late 2008. Both coats and
trousers of the untucked ODU will differ from their current tucked ODU
versions.

3. Additional information and specific sale sizes can be found at the ODU
web site www.uscg.mil/uniforms under the "ODU Sale" link. If you place an
order for one of the sale sizes, you will see one on your invoice copy at
the regular price, but will automatically be shipped two of that particular
size (e.g. - pay for one OC32L and be shipped two OC32L's). The non-invoiced
ODU will have an identifying mark on the size tag to prevent erroneous
returns.

4. The UDC Return Policy will remain the same for this sale. If you need to
return or exchange a purchase made under this sale, BOTH of the same size
items will need to be returned. To return or exchange, a readable copy of
the invoice and the completed UDC Returns Form must be included for
consideration.

5. The purpose of this list is to keep Auxiliarists as well as all other
interested parties abreast of current  developments, policies, manuals, etc.
