Sonny and Stone's First One-on-One Scene, August, 1993 It was obvious from the start that Stone Cates loved, respected, and admired Sonny Corinthos...and equally as clear that Sonny loved Stone, and was determined to take care of him. Scene: Paradise Lounge. Sonny has just returned from out of town, and Stone is very glad to see him.
Sonny: What's going on? Stone: I found out that some girl's been asking a lot of questions about me, that's all.
Sonny: So? People ask questions
all the time. It's the answering you need to be concerned about. Stone: How am I supposed to know? But I'm telling you man, I don't like it! Sonny: How'd you find out? Stone: Crystal told me. Sonny: (angry) Oh, that's great. Stone: Come on Sonny...she's OK. Sonny: She's a junkie! Who'd do anything for a fix. And if you trust her, you're being naive. Stone: Look, why would she come to me in the first place, if she was just going to blow me out of the water? Sonny: You worry too much kid. Stone: Think so? Sonny: I said so didn't I? Now, if anything comes up, I'll handle it the way I always do. OK? Stone: OK, OK. Sonny: Good to see you kid. (stands up and walks off)
Stone: Thanks. (looks
at Sonny with admiration, then stands up and walks back over to Carrie) Carrie: Oh yeah? Why's that? Stone: Cause you got to meet Sonny! Carrie: He's cool! Stone: Yeah, he's the greatest! (They both look at Sonny across the room, who stares back at Carrie) (End of scene) |
