Sonny and Mike Reunite, 1995

Scene: Luke’s Club. Sonny just confronted the man who stole his speakers...
and was shocked to come face to face with his father.

Luke: You’re joking, Mike’s your father?

Sonny: Ain’t nothing funny about it.

Mike: You are the image of your mother.



Sonny: Don’t, don’t...you have no right to even say her name.

Mike: We’ve got a lot of catching up to do.

Sonny: There’s nothing you have to say that interests me.

Mike: Oh come on…don’t be like that Michael.



Sonny: No Don't! Don’t ever call me that.

Mike: You shouldn’t speak to your father like that.

Sonny: Beyond the biological, you don’t bear a passing resemblance.
(Sonny walks over to Luke) Do you believe this guy?


Luke: I had no idea.

Sonny: Well why would you? Mike Corbin, wow…Corbin? Um, who are you hiding from this time?

Luke: (starts to walk off) Why don’t I leave you two guys alone?

Sonny: No, hey, it’s ok Luke, there’s nothing personal going down here. Besides you got a stake in this.
He works for you. So, what’s the con, Mike? What angle are you playing?

Mike: No angle.

Sonny: No? There’s always an angle with you. Or maybe you thought you could pull a fast one on my partner.

Mike: No, even I’m not up to a challenge like that. But you know if you’d get that chip off your shoulder Michael...

(Sonny turns away at the sound of his given name)

Mike: Sonny!. I wanted to see what kind of a man you’d become.

Sonny: A busy man...you should have called first.

Mike: Yeah, well, I figured the only thing I would hear on the other end of the line would be a dial tone.
Besides you know me, I rarely take the easy route when I can make it complicated instead.

Sonny: And these complications include ripping off my band's equipment and
selling them to Luke as to ensure a warm welcome? (looks at Luke) Guy’s a genius huh?

Mike: Well I admit, the speakers were a major mistake.



Sonny: Well, see, that’s the thing about you Mike. Your idea of a major mistake is just...
a no class con to the rest of us. (walks away, then turns and speaks to Luke)



Sonny: You hired him, you fire him.

Luke: Sonny, that’s the way you want to play it?

Sonny: I don’t...I don’t, care how it plays. I just want him out of my sight.
(he leaves the room)

(Luke looks at Mike, who is shell shocked)
