What is the latest version of Meal-Master?

• Version 8.06 is the current release
• This is a FREE update for registered users of all previous versions
• This release changes Meal-Master from "Shareware" to "Freeware".
• To download it, go to the Downloads page

I registered an older version, so how do I upgrade to the latest version?

• Simply download and install the version 8.06 update. This version will have all the features of your previous registered version, plus any features developed since your existing version was shipped.
• Meal-Master is no longer available by mail. If you cannot download, please contact a friend or computer user group who can download it for you.

Is there a Windows version of Meal-Master?

• Not yet
• One is in work, but no release date has been set. It may be months, or even years, before it is finished. Please don't write and ask when it will be ready -- you just read the answer, and inquiries about when a Windows version will be ready will get no response!
• The current DOS version will run full-screen or "in a window" with Windows, Windows95, Windows98, WindowsME, WindowsNT, and WindowsXP. (It will also run under OS/2, GEM, Desqview, and other Dos-friendly environments.  It will run on Macintosh under a Dos emulator.)

Is there a Macintosh version of Meal-Master?

• No. There are no plans for a Macintosh version of Meal-Master.
• DOS emulation software can be used to run Meal-Master on Mac.  See the Links page for a link to a freeware DOS emulator for Mac.
• Most Mac users will be better served with a "true" Macintosh recipe program from another vendor
• We don't hate Macs, we just don't know anything about programming them!

What are Meal-Master's System Requirements?

• Any IBM compatible PC (XT, AT, 386, 486, Pentium, etc.)
• At least one disk drive (A hard drive is recommended but not required)
• MS-DOS or PC-DOS version 2.0 or higher, or any version of Windows.
• Monochrome, CGA, EGA, or VGA compatible adapter
• Also runs as a DOS application in OS/2 and Mac under Dos emulation.

I forgot my registration number, what should I do?

• Starting with version 8.06, registration numbers are no longer needed. You can download version 8.06 and update your system, eliminating the need for a registration serial number.
• If you wish to continue using your existing version, contact Episoft Systems via Email and we will lookup your serial. Include your full name, the address to which your registered version was originally shipped, and approximately when you registered. Please allow 72 hours for a response (although it will usually be sooner).
