Click for article BHS loop trail.  May be better as a walk than a ride. High visibility clothing highly recommended. If you don't live on the loop, park at Brighton High School N42°31.619' W083°47.645.  Exit the parking lot to the East, north on Seventh for one block, east on Washington St. for three blocks, south on Third St. for a mile, becoming Fairway Trails and (adding painted onstreet bikepath) Peppergrove St.  Make next right (west) on Persimmon Drive, until it dead-ends into Brighton Lake Road.  Make a left (southwest), taking due care for traffic, traveling on left side if walking or on right if riding.  After less than ½ mile, turn right on Wyndam Lane.  Keep Brighton Lake on your right, turn right down gravel path and cross the dam.  In spring and summer, keep your eyes to the for the pair of blue herons that will flush when they can see you from their nest in the ravine (if only one flushes, the other is out feeding).  Continue up the gravel path, turn right (north) on Lake Ridge Dr. for about ¾ mile (keeping Brighton Lake on your right), east on Brighton Road (there is an asphalt safety path on the other side of the road), and for a few blocks back to BHS.  If walking, go behind the school and along little Leith Lake.
