The Thrift Shop made it's grand opening on Saturday, March 9, 2002.  Volunteers have given many hours of their time to provide funds for the church operation expenses.  In 2002, the church office was open each week day, and the Thrift Shop was open for business on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 AM to 12 PM.  In 2004, they opened on Wednesdays instead of Thursdays due to the church being closed on Thursdays and Fridays.  As a church shop, it continued under the general name of the "Thrift Shop" until January 7, 2006, when the name changed to "The Corner Shop".  The phrase "Gently used clothing for all" was also added from its reputation, being a shop that has been a marketplace of clean, gently used clothes in good condition for men, women, and children.  Volunteers can sign-up to help on the sheet located on the shop desk.  Clothing can be dropped off during the shop hours and also during regular office hours.
