I recently decided to create a Linux Console
version of the TeX / LaTeX font Monospace, which I have dubbed
"MonoConsole". It is hardly hand-tweaked at all and
is presently only a 96-character ASCII font.
Creation of the this font required a lot of tedious by-hand
work since I didn't find code to automatically render
TeX fonts or accented versions thereof in a quick,
automated way. That's alright however since I ended up
writing a program xpm-to-psf that can be used to convert
more characters (e.g. é) and fonts.
