August and Lucie
 

Lucie, Augustus, and their four youngest children immigrated to the United States aboard the S.S. Lapland.  They left Antwerp, Belgium May 4, 1912 and arrived in New York May 13, 1912.  After leaving New York, they settled in Capac, Michigan with their daughter Julia Suzanna Gheldof.  The four children who came with them were Karl (9 yr.), Louise Maria (10 yr.), Zenobie (Levelen) Marie, and Bertha Marie (13 yr.).  They had left Belgium with only $160.00.     Records from Ellis Island indicate that Augustus and Lucieís place of residence was Casey Vicerokerk, Belgium.
