| Recording Hints | Some ideas from Pat Harris and myself on recording using your computer. What can you use? What is available? How much do you want to spend? Before you break your budget view this handbook and the MP3 audio examples attached. It might give you a few ideas about how deep you wish to get involved with audio recording with your computer. It could save you some money too by allowing you to "hear before you buy". After all not everyone can afford to buy one of each! |
Guitar Handbooks
|
This is a source of information to understand a specific palo in a practical manner. Examples are given of the basic compas and many right hand patterns. Using a variety of right hand patterns adds more interest to your music.
The Handbooks:
A Handbook in PDF format with explanations and examples of each palo covered. Each music example is linked to a midi file so you can hear how the music should sound. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to use this file and is available for free at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
You can print out the entire Handbook and have it bound at Kinkos or your favorite copy shop. One or more pages can be printed to study in detail.
The file is down loaded over the Internet in zip format. This is done to reduce cost.
An HTML form:
The form is linked to each music example and you can select either the midi or notation for examination and study. The midi requires a sound card such as Sound Blaster with speakers and a player compatible with midi format such as Windows Media Player.
Midi files:
All music examples are included in midi format.
TablEdit files:
The notation was created with TablEdit and all music examples are included. You can download free versions of TablEdit which have limited abilities but are very useful. The full version of TablEdit allows you to modify the speed or notation and create your own music. It is suggested you purchase the full product if you find it valuable to you. It is available from www.tabledit.com
All music examples are given in notation as well as tablature formats.
