Cape Cod and the Islands Public Safety

Barnstable County is in the process of converting to a county wide 800 MHz trunk system that will be shared with the Mass. State Police and other agencies. Below is the old information along with the new information that I have found.  Some of the old channels may be simulcast with the new system. The town IDs and call signs remain unchanged.  Note that the Barnstable, Bourne, Falmouth, Mashpee, Sandwich, and Yarmouth Police Departments will continue to use their conventional 800 MHz frequencies for local dispatch.  All 800 MHz frequencies use a DPL of 445.

800 MHz Public Safety Trunk

The Mass State Police and Barnstable County Police, Fire, and EMS agencies use this system. The system can be heard quite easily on Martha's Vineyard, and it is possible that eventually it will be used there as well. For frequencies look under MSP Troop D, Upper and Lower Cape Cod systems.

New licenses for  866.0625 - 866.3125 - 866.8125 - 866.8375 on the system.  These are paired with the 821.xxxx input frequencies. Call sign for the new licenses is WPQE 401.  These appear to be intended for use as non trunked "tactical" channels.
