Providence is the capital
city of Rhode Island, and although obviously not in Massachusetts, it is a
major city and has plenty of fire and police activity. It's also only about an
hour from Boston, less on a good day. As a result, it's pretty easy to pick up
radio activity from most of southeast MA.
