Two are older and wiser, and two are (were) nearly-new 6-week old little kittens. The kittens were on sale so I got two of them. This is my kitties' baby book. My very first cat was named Henry Parker. He was about the best cat in the world. He taught me to speak cat. I had the pleasure of his companionship for five years. Out here in the country, we don't put collars and tags on our cats. Too easy for the collar to catch on something in the woods. I did not want my kitty hanging from some tree. I'm sure someone found Henry Parker on one of his "walk-a-bouts." Some kid probably thought it was pretty neat finding a cat who talked. No tag, so he must be wild, eh? Henry got a new name and a new home. At least, that's how I like to think about it. This one's for you Henry. |
