Scout looks like a little black bear cub. He is our happiest pack member. His large plumed tail is constantly wagging and he has a happy grin on his face. There is not a person or animal he's met that he hasn't liked. Scout was rescued from certain death at a Virginia dog pound by a rescue organization. He came down with Parvovirus just days after his rescue and spent the next few weeks in intensive care. When he was well again, neutered, and caught up in all his innoculations he was put up for adoption. After strict screening, we were notified that we were chosen to be the lucky family to adopt Scout. Scout spends his days playing with his friends, running and chasing each other in the back yard. He was first hooked up with Kennebec in harness December 2003 and never looked back. Unfortunately, he doesn't get to sled too often as his long hair on his feet tend to collect snow and it becomes too painful for him. He is just as happy to accompany all of us on our sledding outings even though he doesn't work.
