"For the first time in Celtics history, a dance team entertained the crowd at halftime... Goldstar was well-received by the crowd of 17,781" - Boston Herald, 12/23/97

In 1999, with music ranging from the latest hip-hop to classic rock and roll, Goldstar dancers energized many events including NESN's New England Sports Awards, Shaw's NBA Summer Pro League, Boston Bulldogs, and Hoop-It-Up World Tour in Boston. In 1998, they kicked-off an NFL/Muscle Team benefit for Muscular Dystrophy at Boston's Hard Rock Cafe.

GOLDSTAR on ZDnet.com

A highlight for Goldstar in 1999 was landing a part on ZDnet.com's web show "Computer Stew". Goldstar Director Beth Ellis comments "It was a great opportunity for the girls to dance and act. We were thrilled to hear that it was one of their highest rated episodes." Computer Stew is a comedy show produced daily on the web. Log on to www.computerstew.com, episode #117 "Notepad" to see the dancers.

Most people in New England have never seen an NBA-style dance team, so the interest and excitement the dancers generate is amazing.

About the Directors

Goldstar Dance Team is the only professional sports entertainment dance troupe in the greater Boston area. They have performed for a variety of NBA, NFL, and MLS events as well as many community and charitable events throughout New England.

Goldstar's diversity stems from the extensive experience of its co-founders and directors, Beth Ellis and Tracy Sivak. Since both women have been members of dance teams for professional sports franchises, NCAA cheerleaders, gymnasts, and long-time students and instructors of various dance methods, they knew they had the right backgrounds to bring a high-energy, dance-oriented entertainment to the New England area.

Originally from Tulsa OK, Beth Ellis brings over 22 years of experience in dance, cheerleading, and gymnastics to the Goldstar organization. A three-year veteran of the Chicago Bulls' dance team, she toured Europe with the Bulls' showgroup and performed on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Chicago's WGN morning news, and the Jenny Jones Show. She was also a member of Oklahoma State University's 1988 N.C.A. National Championship cheerleading team.

Tracy Sivak gained her professional dance experience as a member of three dance teams within the C.B.A. and the Arena Football League. While on these teams and as a collegiate cheerleader, she performed with the Beach Boys, Hartford Symphony, and the Special Olympics, and appeared in commercial spots on NBC and ESPN2. Since 1983, she has choreographed for collegiate and professional dance teams.

Through Ellis and Sivak's direction, Goldstar has been entertaining audiences at sporting, community, and charitable events throughout New England.
