June 2004 Don Weiss Reunion
in Raymond, Washington

This summer was a very special summer in that Mike and Judy Manna and their family were home for their first furlough from Ukraine. In scheduling for visits with all their supporters, some of which are here on the west coast, it was decided to have the Don Wiess reunion here in Washington. This was a first for us, and with family the size it is now, we had to find sleeping quarters for 29 in all. Our three bedroom house was going to need some help. With the generious help of some friends in loaning us their trailers, and God giving us sunshine for the whole week, we were all quite comfortable. Each family had a resting place to call temp-home. With God's gift of sunshine and warm weather we ate all our meals out on the deck or in the back yard. With all the kidos needing space for playing, our large back yard and the field across the ditch worked well. Some of us even got out the golf chipping irons and did some of that in the yard.

Now Mary wouldn't let it pass - yes, family pictures - lots of 'em. I'll post this one of the whole bunch - well almost everyone. We took pictures just before we went to church and Jacob, unaware of the picture taking, stayed over at the church and went unnoticed for a bunch of the pictures - sorry he's not in this one.

Kevin made it up from Phonix and was able to bring his special friend, Jen, with him - she got to meet this big ole family.

Just a shot of three of the four campers that we used for all the sleeping.

This is Nancy and me on the bike. Brought back memories of when Nancy came to visit when we lived in Oregon. We did a lot of bike riding back then. She has trouble getting on, but what fun it was once we helped her on.

The Sunday that Mike and Judy spoke at our church, brought an other great reunion - espically for Kendra. Both of her brothers, her sister, their spouses and kids came up from Oregon and spent Father's Day with us.
