I was born and raised in Indiana, but my mother's
roots are deep in the Counties of Kentucky. I do not live in the state
of Kentucky, though. I call the lovely wet state of Washington my home.
Mom's lines come from many counties in Kentucky: Christian, Daviess,
Hardin, Henderson, Hopkins, McLean, Meade, Shelby, Union, and Webster.
I probably forgot one or two.
I have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. My eldest son
has two daughters and my eldest daughter has three sons. (See a
pattern?) This is typical of my family. My brother had 4 daughters and
both of my sisters had all boys. I was the only sibling to get one of
each.
I am researching the following families in KY:
ASHBY, BEAUCHAMP, BERRY, BRANDENBURG, LANE, SHELTON, SIMMS,
THOMAS, VERTREES, WOLGAMOTT. My surnames in Henderson County are:
SHELTON and THOMAS.
