  • Links I find myself visiting a lot these days:
    1. Mark Fiore's Hilariously clever animated political cartoons.  New additions every Wedneday, and the archives are good for hours of entertainment.  Warning:  not intended for right wingers.
    2. The Internet Movie Database An oldie but goodie- great for looking up info on your favorite actors, directors, and films.
    3. Top 25 most E-mailed articles from the New York Times  A good resource for a quick dose of the news people feel is worth talking about.
    4. Sky and Telescope Magazine current skychart  What color is the sky in your world?  If it hasn't been totally blocked out by light pollution, the nightime sky in your area can be a beautiful and fascinating thing- this site will guide you to the planets and constellations visible on any given night.
    5. Online recipe searches:  Epicurious and Food TV.  Eat,  drink, and be merry, for  tomorrow we die.   Well, we hope not, but you never know.  Go out with a full belly and a smile on your face!
    6. This Modern World:   Cartoon lampoon of the right wing.  The guy makes some good points.
    7. The Onion:  "America's Finest New Source."   Hey, if Fox News can call themselves "Fair and Ballanced" then who are WE to question?
    8. Common Errors in English:  A great reference to improve your language skills and settle bar bets.
    9. The Straight Dope:  All the answers to questions you never thought you would ask.  Also good for settling bar bets, albeit for a slightly lower level of discourse than the link above.  Hosted by Cecil Adams, the "world's smartest human being."
    10. Explodingdog.com:  A very interesting site- quite creative.  Check it out.
