Gamma Cygni Region in Cygnus


Sadr, also known as Gamma Cygni, is the bright star to the left. The nebulous complex surrounding Sadr is IC1318, the brightest portion of which to the lower left is known as the Butterfly Nebula. The much smaller, oval-shaped nebula to the upper right is the Crescent Nebula, NGC6888.

Telescope:  TeleVue 85 refractor on a Losmandy G11 mount

Guiding:  Autoguided by an SBIG ST-4 off-axis with modified Lumicon NEG
