M31 

Spiral Galaxy in Andromeda


M31 is also known as the Andromeda Galaxy. Also seen here are it's two smaller companion galaxies, M32 (left of center along M31's upper edge) and M110 (directly below  M31).

 

Exposure Data:  Hypered Kodak RG200 @ f/7.8, a combination of a 120 and 100 minute exposures 

Telescope:  TeleVue 85 refractor on a Losmandy G11 mount

Guiding:  Autoguided by SBIG ST-4 off-axis with modified Lumicon NEG
