
This is a commission work for Antonio C Junior. The blade has a vibrant
hitatsura hamon that enhances the complex hada. Several billets of folded cable
steel were used to create Antonio's design for this hada. The section of the
blade that represents the mune is contructed of two billets of masame (straight)
grain pattern, below that there are two other billets of mokume (wood grain)
hada. The core steel is 1050 carbon steel. The nagasa is 29 inches with a 13 1/2
inch nakago. The kissaki is a 7 inches long and the blade is forged in a
hira-zukuri style.
