Yukon is:
Denny Bowen
Sam Garret
Nick Podgurski
Brad Smith

Yukon formed in 2004 after the dissolution of the Baltimore band Economist.
Consisting of members [past and present] of : Economist, Double Dagger,
Charm City Suicides, Hex Screw and Wax & Wane, Yukon has been closely
affiliated with Human Conduct and its projects [The New Flesh,
The Organ Donors, etc.] as well as Baltimore's music cornerstones
Talking Head [Club], Charm City Art Space, The Ottobar, etc. Comparisons
have been drawn from everything from Drive Like Jehu and Shellac to the
Police and Captain Beefheart and all may or may not be accurate.
Yukon has played shows frequently throughout Baltimore, the East Coast
and Midwest touring in 2006 with New Flesh/Organ Donors founder
Rick Weaver and The Ruined Frame; they have also played shows with:
Vaz, New Brutalism, The New Flesh, Laundryroom Squelchers,
Pearls and Brass, Abe Vigoda, Pissed Jeans, Amps for Christ,
Bellini, Mono, Ocrilim, Chinese Stars, Speaking Canaries, Dynasty,
Air Conditioning, Prurient, etc.

"The album's twining melodies and rhythms take risks in reinventing the ways
a rock song can be strung together. Its refusal to become too familiar is what
keeps listening to Mortar fun." -Baltimore Citypaper

"All that can be found compelling with Yukon lays in their creative flow of riffs
that bounce off each other second in and second out." -Punknews.org

"Proving once again that Baltimore-based music is quickly outgunning nearby D.C.’s." -Smother.net
