To whomever; the Hardigree family
From: Joanna Hibbard, Boston, MA
i think it's remarkable that there is a person in your database with my name, joanna hibbard. it is a very uncommon name. more uncommon, however, is that she has the same birthday as i do-- january 22. mine was in 1981 and hers in 1920. unfortunately she died on february 4 of that same year. strange; i was supposed to be born on february 4. please let me know if this is significant to anyone else.

I was amazed by this web page. My great grandfather, great great grandfather and my grand mother Martha E. Hardigree Proffitt are all connected to this line thru Jonathan Hardegree. Would love to hear from others interested.

Great Job!!!!   PS You better get Joanne's picture in your layout!

Harold Lane Elmore
From: Knoxville, Tennessee
Enjoyed the visit! Impressed with the family tree, including the many Elmores. John Menefee Elmore, oldest son of Marthy & Matthew, was my ggrandfather. More information to follow, particularly about Matron Elmore that you list as the progenitor. I have additional information indicating that John's father was Matthew Elmore. There was a Matron Elmore in Lincoln County during the Revolution but he returned to VA and Matthew stayed on in KY. He is the grandfather of the Matthew that married Marthy. More documentation on this to come later.

We really had no idea that you were so cleavor John. Thought you were just an old funny duddy who liked to play canasta with, "ruthless abandon". Arizona must really agree with you. We are pleased that every thing is going well for you and the family. Can't tell you what a thrill it is to Jo to speak with Becky. It really puts a smile on her face. I don't have a Webb page yet and not sure I want one. You see, I REALLY AM AN OLD FUNNY DUDDY! Can't imagine anyone being all that interested in what I do. Must go now. Working on a response to GM as to why we can't respond to their Electronic Requests for Quotations on time.Sounds a lot like what I was doing when I was an XO in the 1st Training Brigade. I do not have ICQ. Don't what it is. You see I am relatively new at this stuff. Talk again soon. Have a good Thanksgiving and a joyous Christmas. All our best to you and yours. Bill & Jo.

Dear John, I have been seriously enamored by 64 impalas since i was about 4. I am now 35. My mother's friend had a black convertible. I remember sitting in the back and constantly being transfixed by the eat SS emblem. Later when i wa about 8 the Chicanos really began an explosion of refurbishing and customizing lowriders. I was a little white boy that just loved these cars. I would go to the park where the "lowriders" would congregate on the weekends even though it was a bit dangerous. Also I lived by a catholic church...every other sunday or so there would be a procession of lowrider cars parked in front of the church. Most were impalas 55 to 72.I would take pictures of the cars. I was rejected by my family and friends for loving these cars. Well I am a proud Impala lover to this day!

John, Thank you so much. Never knew this web site existed. Many questions I would like to ask. Just becoming acquainted with my paternal side of the family. Do you know how James Fields died? Edward Huff, was he John C's brother? Hughes Sizemore? The pictures are a real treasure. I don't suppose you have a picture of Anna Huff. I lost my dear mother a year ago, I miss her so. Many things I whiched I had asked. The same with my grandmother who lived to be ninety- seven. Hope this makes sense, have to rush to keep an appointment. Do you have info on the Bowling/Bolling line; Pennington?? I have quite a bit. Thank you again for responding Grace

Loved the 64 chevy...My first car was a 1964 Chevy Impala 4-door hard top, 327 V-8, auto, air, etc. I loved it...it was a blue color, lots of chrome, and I hated to give it up when I went active duty in the Air Force in 1978. I am now trying to find one similar, but all I find are Super Sports and lowriders. It was great to see your Impala looking so good, thanks for the great pix....Karl
