Roslyn character ... |
Roslyn is Cicely. Cicely is Roslyn.
The people of Roslyn are always so wonderful. There's no such thing as a quick errand or a quick bite to eat -- there's always something to chat about.
A big
thank you to the people of Roslyn for the hospitality every year. Some
of those folks include (but not a complete list!):
Jennifer of Harry's Inn and Vicky of the Cowboy Inn, Joe and Steve of Cicely's
Gift Store and the Pioneer Sodylicious, Heather and Lupe of the Pasttime, Cathy
of the new store Crystal Creek Gifts, Tom and Jeri of Lost in Roslyn (he used
to own the Pennsylvania Station - now where Lost in Roslyn is located), Vicky
and the gang at Central Sundries, everyone at Lefties (thanks for the Moosetracks
ice cream) and everyone at the Brick, Michelle and her crew at the Village Pizza
(now air-conditioned!), Tom and his crew at the Roslyn Theatre, John and Renee
of the Roslyn Bakery (the fritters will knock you out of your socks), the clubs
who cook our wonderful breakfasts and picnic lunch, the Sunset Cafe for their
catering the Saturday night dinner, our bus driver, Jack, from the Ellensburg
School District, Kanashibushan and Harriet (lifetime, multigenerational residents
of Roslyn), Kathryn at the Roslyn Museum and many, many more...
Moose Days would not be Moose Days without the hard work of all the fan and local volunteers. A big thanks to the crew I worked with: Kathy, Barbara, Marie, Gary, Rosanna, Linda, Ida, Niki, Tammy and to Crystal for pulling together last-minute loose ends.
Thank you also to our special guests: Ginny Phillips, Bill White, Bill Yallup, Chuck Graywolf, and Rosetta Pintado, along with their family and friends. It's pretty cool when Rosetta jumps in the car to find out if we're in town! Thank you to our Sunday night telephone interviewees: David Schwartz, Moultrie Patten, Cynthia Geary, John Cullum, Rob Morrow and Jeff Melvoin.
And thank you to everyone who came - the newfolk and the oldfolk. We can't have any fun without you.
