Hurricane Fast Attack Hovercraft

The Hurricane is a dual engined all-terrain light attack hovercraft manned by a single operator. Computer assistance is provided to allow limited automation of piloting the vehicle or firing the weapons. The Hurricane has four ER small lasers and a Streak SRM-4 battery. All weapons are mounted on an overhead turret that provides 360 degrees of traverse. Fuel and ammo are carried amidships.

The dual engines are externally pod mounted to save internal space and increase agility. A large thrust chamber between the engines functions similar to the afterbunner on a jet and allows a very high top speed over optimum terrain. The lightly armored chassis provides full life support in hostile environments. The Hurricane is derived from the Cyclone and shares a strong family resemblance.

Builder Notes

Like the Cyclone, this model has the trademark "pontoon" parts from the Star Wars #7111 Droid Fighter, and the printed slopes from the Star Wars #7130 Snowspeeder.
