LEGO Index

Hi, welcome to my LEGO index page, where I'll talk about my favorite classic building toy, and how I came out of (and returned to) my "Dark Ages" (ie, not playing with LEGO).

In late 1999 the LEGO group had secured a license with Lucasfilm LTD to market Star Wars inspired kits. I had just gotten my 5 year old son some Star Wars LEGO sets for Christmas in 1999 and was pleased at how far LEGO had come since I was young. Then I came across the LEGO Mechwarrior site. Wow! My favorite computer game warriors come to life in ABS! I was inspired to create my own LEGO Mechwarriors and so I came out of my "Dark Ages" in February 2000. I began to build my LEGO collection and started with the Summoner and Timber Wolf. Soon I discovered the LEGO section on eBay and my LEGO habit really took off. The habit continued until early 2003, when after over 50 little ABS warriors and vehicles the shelf space got crowded and the novelty began to wear off. Eventually ZOIDS took over and my LEGO creations went into storage. These web pages are tribute to the genius designers and builders at the LEGO Group and to kids of all ages all over the world.

Here are some of the LEGO Mechwarriors I have built:

Light Mechs, Recon Mechs (20-39 tons)
Intermediate Mechs (40-49 tons)
Medium Mechs, Commando Mechs (50-64 tons)
Heavy Mechs (65-79 tons)
Assault Mechs (80-100 tons)
Vehicles
