Ogre Heavy Mech

The Ogre Heavy Mech is named for its head-forward, hunched over profile. Its 65 ton weight is mostly in the large bulky torso. It is armed with twin Ultra-10 autocannon, four medium ER lasers, two machine guns, and a Streak SRM-4 battery. The Ogre's large torso allows a large engine and ample ammunition stowage.

A curiousity of this design is the rather thin cockpit armor, given that the rest of the mech is well protected.

Builder Notes

I finally found a way to use the wraparound piece from the #7127 Star Wars AT-ST, although I ended up breaking off two of the hinge "fingers" to get a good fit with the windshield.
