| At about the age of 18 in 1887, John Kleinert immigrated to the United States. He settled in or near St. Louis, possibly on the East side of the Mississippi River in Illinois. On January 19, 1889 he married Margaretha “Maggie” Schreck, daughter of Simon Schreck and Franzcisca Dintzter, who were natives of Bavaria. They had four children: | |
