Healing Divisions with the
Power of Zero Point - Article 3 on Healing Therapy Using the Quantum Metaphor

As we travel down our life path, each of us inevitably reaches a crossing point - a fork in the road, where the decisions of life seem deep and intractable. Perhaps this takes the form of internal conflict – a gridlock between two aspects of yourself which makes decision difficult. Or perhaps it is a conflict with another person which creates steadily deepening issues within both of your lives. We can once again look at these divisions as interlocking thought-things related to each other - or even further, as two aspects of the same energy coalesced from the zero-point.
In the last article, we extended the idea that thoughts are things to examine emotional issues. We explored the basis for this in the Quantum Metaphor, as described in the book “Quantum Consciousness” by Steven Wolinski. We then conducted an experiment to explore and reframe emotional realities. In this article we will again employ the quantum metaphor to see how we can place conflicts into the same context. We will then do another exercise which will teach us how to manage decision gridlock.
We often find that conflicts (both internal and external) can seem intractable, inescapable. When a deep conflict occurs, we sometimes find that it begins to dominate our awareness. We may find ourselves emotionally tangled up in seemingly unanswerable questions. Once again, to regain our perspective, we may need to emerge from this reality, to observe that it, like all other thought-things, it is merely an energy pattern within the zero-point field.
A client, whom I will refer to as “Michelle” once described a scenario which in my experience, is an all too typical decision-gridlock. She did not like her job, finding it boring and unchallenging. She wanted to move on - perhaps returning to school - to achieve more in her career. She wanted to find the satisfaction of doing what she was meant to do. She had a well defined view of what this should be, but was prevented by another reality pattern within her, which blocked her ability to move toward her new world. In this case, the issue was that in her reality, the approval of her family was at least as important as the achievement of her life purpose. In her view, her family would not approve of her going back to school, then moving on to a job which (in her eyes) would not fit their image of her. Thus she felt stuck in a work-life which she no longer loved – a life which was slowly draining the spirit from her.
As in our treatments of thoughts and feelings, we need to remember that in the Quantum Metaphor conflicts, like everything else, are made of energy – patterns of condensation from the zero-point field. In Michelle’s case, we were able to step back from this pattern and see that both her desire for a more meaningful career, and her view of family disapproval, were based on the love she felt for herself and her family. We were able to see that these were the same love and the same energy, both manifesting in the same way, at the same time and from the same source. Once she saw this, the contrast between the two sides disappeared. She was able to reframe the conflict, reducing its effect to insignificance.
Two weeks after our last session, Michelle called me to tell me that she had quit the job she so disliked, and was going back to school. Rather than encountering the family disapproval she feared, she found that her family endlessly loved and supported her – showing the same love that she felt for them.
So let’s look at the process by which we can reframe conflicts and gridlock using the Quantum Metaphor. The following experiment is derived from a series of exercises presented in Wolinski’s book, “Quantum Consciousness”. Here, we will again look at our thoughts and feelings as energy, and see how to transcend divisions and decision gridlock. We see that each side of the issue is again, merely part of the zero-point field.
So, let’s again get comfortable and allow ourselves to experience resolving differences at the zero-point.
Once again, let’s sit back and relax, allowing
our eyes to comfortably close.
Allow yourself to recall a past conflict, either
internal or with another person – perhaps a decision gridlock which you found
difficult to resolve.
Allow the sense of the conflict to fill your
awareness. Feel how both sides seem to
log-jam each other, and the frustration that may be present. Feel the desire to break out, and really get
going.
Now step away from the gridlock pattern and see
it from a distance. What does it look
like? How do you see each side of the
conflict?
Allow yourself to move into one side of the
conflict.
Allow that reality of that side to fill your
awareness. Feel yourself merging with
the reality of that thought pattern, identifying with it as being your entire
thoughts and feelings.
What do you learn from being in that reality?
Now move from that one side of the issue and
again observe it from outside, seeing it as energy in the zero-point
field. Observe how much less powerful it
is.
Observe the other side of the conflict and see
that it too, is a just energy.
Now step into that other side and allow it to
fill your awareness. Merge with it,
fully adopting its views as your own.
What does that reality teach you? Is it perhaps something you hadn’t understood
before?
Once again, step back out of that reality,
observing both sides of the conflict from a distance.
Observe the relationship between the two sides,
noticing that they are both made the same energy, two sides of the same
thing. Notice how much less intense the
conflict feels.
As it fades perhaps allow yourself to perhaps
notice a solution to the issue which you never thought of before.
Allow the conflicting thought-things to dissolve
back into the zero-point from which they came.
Enjoy the relaxation that comes from just being
within the zero-point field, itself.
Allow yourself to just be…
We have seen in this exercise that we can view divisions in context to resolve the issues that give rise to them. As we noted last time, Quantum Therapy can be an excellent tool in the tool kit. It should not be considered as a substitute for other forms of therapy, and major issues may be best handled with the help of a therapist. However, we can use the Quantum Metaphor in conjunction with other techniques, to effectively heal this and other issues. We can thus treat a gridlocked thought pattern as a thought-thing – rather than the intractable problem which it used to be. Once again, we see realities as energy patterns within our own mind-field which we can reframe, condense or un-condense at our will.
I again invite you to do the experiment in this article as many times as you wish. You may find that you realize more and more that conflicts can be lessened by rising above and observing our created realities. We have now taken yet another step toward realizing the healing power of zero-point.
I wish you well, and invite you to explore the zero-point and your own mind field. If you wish, feel free to let me know what you find. Enjoy your journey….
