Organic Certification means meeting the standards set by the National Organic Program of the US Dept of Agriculture, and verified by an independent certifying group like Pennsylvania Certified Organic. While it is a membership organization, supporting and promoting organic practices broadly, membership in no way guarantees certification. Certification entails a detailed Organic Plan including Integrated Pest Management, documentation of cultivation, composting, and livestock practices, and annual inspections. We take this extra step to assure you of our standards.
